Article Title, ((Title no more than 20 words, Bold, Capitalize Each Word, Book Antiqua, 13Pt)

Author Name, (Cambria, size 12 pt), marked with superscript numbering 1,2, etc.

Different author affiliations, (Cambria, 10 pt size).

Correspondence Author, (Cambria, 10 pt size), mark with a superscript asterisk "*", this will be used to mark the correspondence author's email address, above all author affiliations.

The abstract, (times new roman, size 11 pt), is a comprehensive description of the results of this article. The abstract contains several elements, including: What is the core of the problem. Objective or problem formulation. Theory and methods used. Findings/conclusions. Recommendations. The five elements are told in one paragraph, 1 space, a minimum of 150 words and a maximum of 250 words, made in two languages, Indonesian and English).

Keywords, (times new roman, size 11 pt), drawn from the important focus of the research. Written in a maximum of 3-8 words. Avoid using double concepts and plural terms (e.g. 'and', 'of'). These keywords will be used for the indexing process.

Introduction, (times new roman, size 12 pt), a more detailed description or component related to the contents of the introduction, can be seen through the following writing sequence: 1. Presenting the argumentation of the problem studied (research problem) from the issue / phenomenon that occurs, telling the phenomenon or case studied, social facts and what is crucial from the facts studied, which are supported by qualitative and quantitative data, the problem in writing the article is obtained by photographing the gap between das sein and das sollen. 2. A literature review / review of relevant research that compares this article with the results of other similar studies, then explains the similarities and differences (raises the position of novelty). 3. State the reasons why the study issue in your article is important to be researched and then written in this article (explain what the contribution or benefit is). 4. Formulate the problem (research question) or research objectives that will be discussed.

Method, (times new roman, size 12 pt), In describing the research method, the author is not allowed to use sub-chapters, but must be clearly narrated with paragraphs (the number of paragraphs is adjusted to the needs). The description of the method must be implementative, in accordance with what is done by researchers in the field. So that the description of the method is not a description of the definitions of research method experts. Basis: What 1 sentence, why 2 sentences, how 3 sentences/process described: interview how the process: (1) Unit of analysis/Material object: location, case, group of people, event, artifact. (2) Research design: method. (3) Where to source data: respondents, informants, manuscripts, online news, Ministry of Religious Affairs statistics. (4) Data collection methods: using questionnaires or interviews. (5) Data analysis is done in 3 stages, explain. What we have done to realize this work, must be clear. Academic honesty is conveyed: there were 2 informants but 1 could not be interviewed, refused to be interviewed.

Findings/Research Results, (times new roman, size 12 pt) in the form of data from the field obtained from research, this is descriptive data. This is very necessary as a result of consideration between the research findings in the field and the theory related to the research discussion. The findings are presented in the form of summary data only but carefully, not detailed data, can use tables, graphs, then explained in narrative words. Why is it not appropriate, why is it appropriate, why is the practice like that, mention the source of the interview. Research findings/results consist of descriptive statistics, assumption test results, and hypothesis test results (if any and are quantitative) or data from interviews and observations or other qualitative data (if qualitative) or data from critical literature reviews, then critically analyzed, and presented sequentially or integrated. The results presentation section contains the results of data analysis. The results of this research are flexible, meaning that in one sub-chapter the results of this research can contain several research results if there are many things to be revealed. If there is a table/graphic/picture/photo that contains a presentation of the results of the analysis that is already meaningful and easy to understand quickly. Tables/graphics/pictures/photos do not contain raw data that can or must still be processed.

Discussion/Analysis, (times new roman, size 12 pt), discussion or analysis, namely the author focuses directly on answering the formulation of the problem or research objectives written in the background of the problem (introduction), which is written systematically, analyzed using relevant theoretical studies reinforced by relevant previous research studies. The discussion here contains the findings of more detailed problems identified by the author related to the research being researched or written. In writing the discussion or analysis, it is preferred to use reference sources from scientific journals. Related to tables or photos, they are written in the middle or at the end of each text that describes the results/research findings. The discussion is written attached to the data being discussed. The discussion of the table contents should not be separated from the data being discussed. Table titles are written centered, all words begin with capital letters, except for conjunctions. If more than one line is written with single space.

Conclusion, (times new roman, size 12 pt), The content of the conclusion is the formulation of answers to research objectives and research hypotheses, not a summary of research results. Conclusions are made concisely, clearly and concisely based on the results and discussion, made in paragraph form (not numbers), contain research findings as a synthesis between the results of data analysis and the results of the discussion, and emphasize new things that contribute to the development of religious, social and cultural sciences.

Recommendations contain academic recommendations, concrete follow-ups, or policy implications for the conclusions reached. The content of the suggestions must be in line with the discussion. (conclusions and suggestions are a maximum of 5% of the total pages of the journal manuscript).

The Reference List, (time new roman, 12 pt size), contains everything referenced in the text that comes from sources that are; (a) relevant, (b) at least 80% up-to-date (last 5 years), and (c) at least 80% primary, mainly from journal articles).

Special Considerations

Writing a research paper should take into account the following technical aspects:

  • Number of articles written between 4,000-6,000 words.
  • Articles submitted for Fundamentum: Journal of Legal and Judicial Reform must have a clear focus on a wide range of topics, ranging from research studies, decision studies, theoretical studies, literature reviews, critical and analytical, objective, and systematic philosophical studies. Fundamentum pays more attention to papers that focus on legal sociology/anthropology, living law, legal philosophy, comparative law, and empirical studies. In addition to these themes, Fundamentum is also interested in contemporary issues as well as progressive thoughts on Law and Judicial Reform in Indonesia.
  • Accepted articles should conform to one or more of the following themes:
Reform of Islamic Law, National Law, Civil, Criminal, and Family Law
Comparison between Islamic Law, Positive Law or Living Law
    Digital Transformation of the Judiciary
    Law and Information Technology
Phenomenology, Sociology, Anthropology, and Legal Communication
Innovation of the Legal and Judicial System
  • For article titles, use 16 pt size, capitalize each word, and no more than 18 words.
  • Page and Text Format. The manuscript is written on A4 paper size with margins (Top 1.5 cm-bottom 3 cm-Left 3 cm-Right 3 cm) and uses Type times new roman font, size 12, spacing 1.5.
  • Terminology Writing. Foreign terms used in the manuscript are written in italic style, for example the words research, distribution, management, and system, and so on.
  • If you use images in your writing, they should be high-resolution and not break when printed.
  • Supporting instruments such as tables and figures should also be accompanied by an analysis or explanation of the instrument and its relevance to the author's writing.
  • In referring to citations or references (Bibliography) use the Reference Management Application in the form of Zotero or Mendeley applications.
  • In citations or references, use the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (IEEE) style model. IEEE-style citations or references are in-text citations, numbered in square brackets, that refer to the full citation listed in the reference list at the end of the article. The reference list is organized by number, not alphabetically. The format for writing an IEEE-style bibliography is to use numerical numbers enclosed in a square box [ ]. The numerical numbers inside the square box are made exactly the same as the bibliography on the last page of the scientific work. The numbering system must be sequential starting from [1], [2] and so on, and must also be sorted according to the references taken as a reference for the scientific work.
  • The reference list contains everything referred to in the text that comes from sources that are; (a) relevant, (b) at least 80% up-to-date (last 5 years), and (c) at least 80% primary, mainly from journal articles).
  • Must cite international Journal reference sources of at least 7 (Seven reputable international journal articles or Scopus).
  • All publications cited in the text must be included as a Bibliography, organized according to the Reference Manager used. To maintain consistency of references, citations, and bibliography, it is recommended to use a Reference Manager application, such as Zotero, Mendeley.
  • References that can be referred to are all publications in the last 5 (five) years, except for certain references that are considered quite important among academics/authors. The Bibliography must be 70% from national and international journals, theses, and proceedings; 30% of the Bibliography comes from books except Wikipedia and personal blogs.
  • When referring to an article, the first letter of the word is capitalized. Example: Article
  • When a word indicates a conjunction, the letters must be spaced. Examples: where/where, above, below.
  • If a word denotes a term for a specific Regional name, the first letter should be capitalized. Example: Ganjar Asri Village, Metro District, Lampung Province, Indonesia.
  • When a word denotes a term name such as: Islam, Qur'an, Hadith, Sunnah, the first letter should be capitalized. Example: Islam, Qur'an, Hadith, Sunnah.
  • When referring to a verse, the first letter of the word "Verse" is capitalized and the verse number is in parentheses. Example Verse [2]
  • The abbreviation of the name of the law is left to the style of each Author, as long as it is used consistently. A suggested form, for example, is "Law. No. 30 Year 2014".
  • If any part of a direct quotation of a phrase, paragraph or article is omitted, please indicate the omitted part with an ellipsis inserted inside square brackets "[...]".
  • Authors are advised to avoid enumerative elaboration methods.
  • Numbering/Setting of Chapters in Manuscript Writing (Number Format)
  • The numbering of chapters and sub-chapters in writing uses the numbering system as shown in the Template
