Aims and Scope

Journal of Islamic Mubādalah (JIM) is an open-access, peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to advancing Mubādalah Studies as an emerging field of inquiry within Islamic Studies and the broader social sciences. The journal promotes Mubādalah as a theoretical, methodological, and analytical approach to understanding reciprocity, equality, justice, partnership, and shared responsibility in human relationships, social institutions, and public life. JIM provides a platform for the publication of original and high-quality scholarly works that examine contemporary social, cultural, legal, political, and environmental issues through the perspectives of reciprocity and justice. The journal encourages critical and innovative research that contributes to the development of equitable, inclusive, and sustainable societies across diverse local and global contexts.

JIM welcomes contributions from academics and researchers working in the fields of Islamic Studies, gender and family studies, law, sociology, political science, cultural studies, environmental humanities, digital society studies, as well as other related disciplines relevant to the advancement of Mubādalah Studies. JIM aims to serve as an academic platform that promotes interdisciplinary, intercultural, and cross-regional dialogue through the exchange of ideas from diverse intellectual traditions and social contexts. Through this endeavor, JIM contributes to enriching scholarly understanding of human dignity, social inclusion, reciprocity, ethical coexistence, and transformative social justice, while strengthening global academic discourse on inclusive development, social harmony, and human relationships that are just, equitable, and sustainable, grounded in the principles of ethical responsibility.In alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), JIM supports the advancement of knowledge that contributes to gender equality, social justice, peaceful societies, environmental sustainability, and human-centered development. The journal aspires to become a leading scholarly reference for researchers interested in the development and application of Mubādalah as a conceptual framework for understanding and promoting just, respectful, and sustainable relations in contemporary society.

Editorial Policy for Authors

Authors are invited to submit manuscripts that fall within the Scope of the Journal of Islamic Mubadalah. Please read the information on the Peer-Review Process. The articles published in Journal of Islamic Mubadalah are going through a double-blind peer-review process. Hence, whether the scientific paper is accepted or not will be the Editorial Board's right based on the peer reviewer's recommendation.

Please read and understand the Author's Guidelines for the preparation of the manuscript. The author who submits a manuscript to the editors should comply with the author's guidelines and template. If the submitted manuscript does not comply with the guidelines or uses a different format, it will be rejected by the editorial team before being reviewed. The editorial team will only accept a manuscript that meets the specified formatting requirements.
