Archiving Policy

Journal of Islamic Mubādalah is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and availability of all published scholarly content. The journal recognizes that digital preservation is an essential part of responsible open-access publishing and is necessary to guarantee that published articles remain accessible to readers, authors, libraries, indexing databases, and the wider scholarly community over time.

To support long-term digital preservation, Journal of Islamic Mubādalah utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries. Through this system, participating libraries are permitted to create permanent archives of the journal’s published content for preservation and restoration purposes. This ensures that the journal’s articles can remain available and recoverable in the event of technical failure, website disruption, data loss, or other circumstances that may affect access to the journal platform.

The journal’s archiving policy is designed to preserve the integrity, authenticity, and accessibility of the published version of record. All published articles, including their metadata, full-text files, and related publication information, are preserved to support long-term scholarly access, citation, indexing, and academic use.

In addition to long-term digital preservation through the LOCKSS system, Journal of Islamic Mubādalah also disseminates its content through scholarly indexing and discovery platforms, including Dimensions, Garuda, Google Scholar, and other relevant indexing databases. These platforms support the visibility, discoverability, and accessibility of the journal’s published articles. However, indexing and discovery services are complementary to, and not a substitute for, the journal’s long-term digital preservation policy.

Through this archiving policy, Journal of Islamic Mubādalah ensures that its published content remains permanently preserved, accessible, discoverable, and available for future scholarly use in accordance with the principles of open access publishing and responsible academic dissemination.
